1) Mission Control: Monitoring Maintenance Issues in Real-Time
Matthew begins the tour at Mission Control, the nerve centre of Penelope House. Mission Control captures real time data streams of reactive maintenance issues and helps our team connect those to our field-based staff via GPS tracking. Large wall mounted screens present the live data. The setup allows our team to respond quickly to time sensitive issues, helping ensure smooth operation across managed sites.

Our nearby Collaboration Desk helps facilitate problem-solving across team members and departments.
This space reflects our commitment to staying connected and proactive in managing properties.
2) Collaboration Desk: Where Ideas Take Shape
Next, Matthew shows us the Collaboration Desk, a flexible workspace encouraging teamwork and problem solving. This area is located centrally in our main offices and adjacent Mission Control to help project planning and problem solving. The openplan layout invites staff from different departments to share insights and solve challenges together.

Collaboration Desk features:
Bench style seating and large desk space.
Staff work from laptops to facilitate easy movement around the building including effective sessions at the Collaboration Desk.
Birght space with natural light and colourful planting to create an inviting atmosphere.
The Collaboration Desk fosters a culture of openness and innovation, helping our team deliver better results.
3) Key Zone: Management of Keys & Site Access
Management of a site's keys and fobs for blocks and estates managed by AM Surveying & Block Management is a fundamental area of service and can easily be taken for granted.
At Key Zone, a dedicated key/fob storage and handling area within Penelope House, sites are listed on an electronic screen with numerical reference to specific storage areas within the space. Sites are allocated a specific storage area for keys/fobs and staff use the digital screen as reference for the respective location to drop off/collect keys.
Further, within Key Zone, staff of AM are able to cut spare keys using specific key cutting machines, which AM commenced during COVID because usual key suppliers were closed down.
Keys are logged in/out using specific key management software and tags.

Highlights of the Key Zone:
Site names presented on a digital screen with each allocated a reference number.
Keys/fobs stored within specific trays for security and organisation.
Software and tags enable keys to be logged in/out of Key Zone when needed on site.
This system improves efficiency of site access management and reduces the risk of lost or misplaced keys and internal cutting of keys speeds up service to residents by avoiding reliance on third parties.
4) Staff Gym: Promoting Health and Wellbeing
Penelope House includes a dedicated Staff Gym, highlighting the importance of health and wellbeing within a workforce. Matthew points out the range of equipment available, from cardio machines to free weights, designed to accommodate different fitness levels and goals. Penelope House gym encourages employees to take breaks and stay active, which supports productivity, morale and improves service delivery to clients.

Large mirrors, TV screens and air conditioning provide for a comfortable workout.
Lockers and changing facilities.

Solar farm: Penelope House is entirely fueled by solar.
