24th June 2016 holds particular significance to us at AM Surveying, not because of Britains dramatic exit from the EU, instead by completing on the long awaited purchase of our new Head Quarters, former public house the Kentish Quarryman, 42 New Road, Ditton, Kent.

Purchase of the new head quarters comes after over 2 years of searching and close monitoring of local commercial property markets patiently waiting for the ideal property to come around, and finally it does. Although currently a closed down pub, the Kentish Quarryman provides the shell of a perfect office space from which business activities will be based as we serve our clients across Kent, London and beyond.
From Closed Down Pub To Thriving Office (Soon)
The Kentish Quarryman has lived the past decade as a pub, the past 10 months as a closed-down pub and must now undergo major conversion before being ready for office occupation, which includes notification to the local planning authority concerning the change of use.
Shutters come off as work to convert the former pub to office space begins.
Fortunately, a property changing use from use class A4 (Drinking Establishment) to A2 (Professional Services) is currently considered Permitted Development so a formal planning application is not required, meaning works to commence the conversion may get underway practically immediately, and that they are.
Putting our own in-house Building Surveying expertise to good use, CAD plans and specifications are drawn up and supplied to our building contractors who have been given the green light to start works on the conversion, with anticipated completion to take place within 2-3 months.
The new office space will provide excellent facilities for use by our staff and clients including open plan work space, spacious reception and waiting areas, boardroom, executive offices and staff/customer parking.
Business is brisk at AM Surveying and we are excited to occupy our new head quarters as we expand our facilities ensuring we continue to provide excellent Block Management and Building Surveying services to clients in and around Kent, London and the surrounding areas.
